Caring for Your Freshly Cut Christmas Tree
Article written by: Eagle Crest Staff

After getting a fresh-cut on your tree, be sure to get it in water within the hour. Indoors, it will soak up as much as a gallon/day the first several days so be sure to check the water level several times per day the first week and once daily after that. Make sure the water level in the bowl does not go below the cut of the tree trunk at any time.
Place your tree away from fireplaces, radiators, or other heat sources!
Preservative, available at Eagle Crest Nursery, will increase the likelihood that the water will be usable for the tree by delaying evaporation and adding nutrients. This will help to sustain a fresher, greener, more fragrant tree! 1 oz of preservative mixed with each gallon of warm water
Don’t forget a tree removal bag! Also available at Eagle Crest. You’ll be really glad that you got one when the festivities are over and it’s time to take the tree out.
